Haileybury, has been listed as one of the leading independent schools in the country by The Sunday Times.
The Sunday Times ranked schools based on GCSE and Sixth Form exam results, and ranked Haileybury:
- in the top six co-educational boarding schools for the International Baccalaureate
- in the top 20 co-educational boarding schools in London and the South East
- the 51st best performing co-educational boarding school across the UK (up 45 places since last year)
Haileybury encourages academic excellence and promotes intellectual curiosity, but its ethos is centred around the importance of an all-round education that includes strong extra-curricular provision and outstanding pastoral support. The school community is both open-minded and forward-looking and draws on a rich heritage which prepares pupils for the world’s best universities and beyond.
The Master, Martin Collier, commented:
“These improved rankings are testament to the outstanding education that Haileybury provides for all its pupils. I would like to pay tribute to the staff for the quality of their teaching, their expertise and dedication. I would also like to pay tribute to the pupils for their hard work and talent. The School is most certainly on an upward trajectory; the information provided by The Sunday Times confirms that this is the case.”
